A simple Continental dinner tonight ๐Ÿ˜„ ๐Ÿ‘had made another batch of the lovely Italian bread with mixed herbs tday so enjoyed that with a simple vegetable and lentil soup and a fried egg ๐Ÿณand dessert was kaju katli ๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿ‘Œ

Recipe -
Vegetables and lentil soup:
Take veggies of your choice but since I had only lauki at home so used that only ๐Ÿ™ˆ๐Ÿ™ˆ Chop about 1/2 kg of Lauki roughly along with 2 tomatoes /1 large onion and 4-5 cloves of garlic. Add 2 tablespoons of washed moong dal and seasonings and water and pressure cook for 3-4 whistles. When cool just blend with a hand blender and strain it. You will notice hardly any wastage in the stainer except the tomato seeds๐Ÿ˜‰ Add pepper and serve piping hot. Can add cream or butter if you wish to but I didn't add .

Sambit BhattacharyaFor all who asked for Recipe kindly acknowledge seeing it by giving it a like on this comment. Thank you "Meat Ball Curry" / "Kofta Curry" Recipe : I used 200 gms of minced mutton (keema), it should give 8 meat balls of size you see in the pic (of course two vanished in my mouth before landing in the curry so you see 6 there). Note : Don't get it too minced otherwise you won't get the taste of biting or having mutton. Now wash the mince, squeeze water out, add 2 mid sized chopped onions (onions also squeeze water out), 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste, 2 tbsps Sattu (flour consisting of a mix of ground pulses & cereals, available in shop), 1 tbsp crushed roasted chana dal, 2 sliced breads without the sides/edges, 1 tsp each of turmeric, red chili powder & 1/2 tsp salt. Mix it well, make balls and keep it under fan for 1/2 hour. On a deep bottomed wok/ kadhai put 4 tbsps cooking oil and deep fry the balls 2 or 3 at a time. Your meat balls are ready, keep it aside. On same heated oil put 2 chopped midsized onions, 1 chopped tomato grinded to paste, 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste stir saute and add cup and half of water mixed with 1 tsp each of turmeric and red chili powder, salt to taste 1/2 tsp. Stir well for curry formation then add pcs of boiled potatoes stir for few mins and put the meat balls, stir lightly and keep in flame for few mins, sprinkle little garam masala powder add few green chillies your Meat ball/ Kofta Curry is ready.

Delicious ๐Ÿ˜‰ Spicy Supercrunchy Fried Chicken <3

Ingredients

1 good chicken, cut into serving pieces, or use 8 to 10 leg pieces (drumsticks and thighs), trimmed of excess fat
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tablespoon curry powder
1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
2 tablespoons minced garlic
1 Scotch bonnet (habanero), or other fresh chili, stemmed, seeded and minced, or cayenne to taste, optional
1 egg
1 cup flour
A mixture of lard and butter, as needed, or olive oil, or neutral oil like corn or grapeseed
Lemon or lime wedges for garnish

Method

1. In a bowl, toss the chicken with salt, pepper, curry, allspice, garlic, chili, egg and 2 tablespoons water. When everything is combined, blend in the flour, using your hands. Keep mixing until most of the flour is blended with the other ingredients and the chicken is coated (add more water or flour if mixture is too thin or too dry; it should be dry but not powdery). Let sit while you heat the fat.
2. Choose a skillet or casserole at least 12 inches in diameter that can be covered. Add enough fat to come to a depth of about 1/2 inch and turn heat to medium-high. If you\'re using butter, skim any foam as it rises to the surface.
3. When the fat is hot (a pinch of flour will sizzle) raise heat to high. Slowly add chicken pieces to skillet (if you add them all at once, temperature will plummet). Cover skillet, reduce the heat to medium-high, and cook for 7 minutes.
4. Uncover the skillet, turn the chicken and continue to cook, uncovered, for another 7 minutes. Turn the chicken again and cook for about 5 minutes more, turning as necessary to ensure that both sides are golden brown.
5. Remove the chicken from skillet and drain on paper towels. Serve chicken at any temperature, with lemon or lime wedges.

Delicious ๐Ÿ˜‰ Chili in Bread Bowls Recipe <3

Ingredients

1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1/2 pound each beef stew meat, boneless skinless chicken breast and boneless pork, cut into cubes
1 tablespoon canola oil
1 medium onion, chopped
1 medium green pepper, chopped
1 jalapeno pepper, seeded and chopped
1 can (28 ounces) diced tomatoes, drained
1 can (16 ounces) kidney beans, rinsed and drained
1 can (15-1/2 ounces) navy beans or great northern beans, rinsed and drained
1 can (8 ounces) tomato sauce
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 garlic clove, minced
1-1/2 teaspoons ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
9 large hard rolls
Sour cream, chopped green onions and sweet red pepper, optional

Directions
In a large resealable plastic bag, combine the flour, salt and pepper. Add meat in batches; toss to coat. In a large skillet, brown meat in oil in batches. Transfer to a 5-qt. slow cooker with a slotted spoon. Stir in onion, peppers, tomatoes, beans, tomato sauce and
seasonings. Cover and cook on low for 7-8 hours or until the meat is tender.
Cut tops off rolls; carefully hollow out bottom halves. Spoon about 1 cup of chili into each roll. Garnish with sour cream, onions and red pepper if desired. Yield: 9 servings.
