Have any of you tried including chia seeds in your diet...
I started taking them 2 months back and they really worked gr8 in helping me lose weight...
I did take zeera water and sauf tea also
I did yoga for 1 hour daily...
Ate a healthy breakfast....
and for lunch 2 chapati and veggies and curd...
And for dinner i ate only chia seeds....with milk, with juice, with water...just with any liquid....
And Its a great victory....
I can easily fit in my shorts and dresses which were lying unused in the almirah....
I did all this for mission switzerland....and paris
Now flying to singapore tomorow
and from their europe
wich me luck and if anyone of you want to lose weight for any purpose... Do try having chia seeds for dinner...just 1 teaspoon....

Melisa EmmanuelI've been told though that too much Jeera water isn't good for women fertility. Only a tell-tale and I've no scientific proof. But with all things, too much of anything isn't good for you! Happy Journey!

Guess what?!
It's very simple.. Break the bael fruit and scoop out all the pulp with a spoon. (properly ripened fruit tastes best). Now in a big bowl, putting little water at a time puree the pulp, have to use your hand coz while you are pureeing the fibres and seeds can b separated out. If put in a processor seeds will be mashed and make the puree bitter. Make a lump free puree.(Can be strained in a big holed strainer). Then add whatever suits your fancy! I like it with lemon and honey in a thin consistency. Or can be made into a smoothie adding curd, lemon juice and sugar;good for breakfast or fasting days. While Young ones prefer the smoothie with some strawberry crush 🍓
Enjoy!
Do tell us how you liked it!!

Idli Sambar Recipe | Instant Sambar for Idli

Checkout the recipe link in the comments section to have more insight into the recipe.

This Idli Sambar recipe / Instant Sambar for idli is a perfect and heavenly combo with hot steaming idli's. I have already shared shared a hotel style tiffin sambar, which is little bit lengthy that calls for roasting and grinding. But this sambar is really an instant version which can be prepared under 25 mins. This is a signature recipe of my mom, she usually prepare this sambar for our guest along with idli, medu vada, kichadi or ven pongal. Addition of bengal gram is a twist to the recipe which adds more taste and I suggest to use homemade sambar powder than ready made ones.

Recipe Cuisine: South Indian
Recipe Category: Breakfast / Tiffin
Preparation + Cooking Time : 25 Mins
Serves : 2 to 3

Ingredients
---------------------
Toor Dal - 1/2 Cup
Bengal Gram / Channa Dal - 1/4 Cup
Small Onion / Shallots - 10
Green Chilli - 4
Tomato - 4
Turmeric Powder - 1/8 tsp
Sambar Powder - 2 tsp
Salt - As Required
Jaggery / Sugar - 2 tsp
Coriander Leaves - For Garnishing

To Temper
---------------------
Mustard Seeds - 1 tsp
Urad Dal - 1/2 tsp
Jeera / Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
Methi Seeds - 1/4 tsp
Red Chilli - 1
Hing - 2 Generous Pinch
Curry Leaves - 2 Sprig
Oil / Ghee - 1 Tblsp

Method
----------------------
1. Peel the skin of shallots. Chop shallots, tomatoes and slit green chilli. Keep by side.

2. Rinse toor dal and bengal gram well. Pressure cook both the dals, with 1.5 cup of water and a pinch of turmeric powder for 4 to 5 whistles.

3. In a pan, pour 1/2 tblsp of oil add shallots and saute till transparent. Then add green chilli and tomatoes. Saute again and cover it with a lid, till the tomatoes turns mushy and leaves all the water.

4. Now pour dal water, once it starts to boil add turmeric powder, sambar powder and required salt. Mix well and boil for 4 to 5 minutes.

5. Mash the dal well and add it to the boiling dal water. Boil for another 3 to 4 minutes and switch off.

6. In a small pan pour 1/2 tblsp of oil / ghee and add mustard seeds. Once it splutters, add urad dal, methi seeds, jeera, red chilli and curry leaves.

7. Add the tempered ingredients to the hot sambar. Finally add jaggery / sugar and mix well. Garnish with coriander leaves.

Serve this instant sambar with hot idli.

Delicious 😉 Spicy Supercrunchy Fried Chicken <3

Ingredients

1 good chicken, cut into serving pieces, or use 8 to 10 leg pieces (drumsticks and thighs), trimmed of excess fat
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tablespoon curry powder
1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
2 tablespoons minced garlic
1 Scotch bonnet (habanero), or other fresh chili, stemmed, seeded and minced, or cayenne to taste, optional
1 egg
1 cup flour
A mixture of lard and butter, as needed, or olive oil, or neutral oil like corn or grapeseed
Lemon or lime wedges for garnish

Method

1. In a bowl, toss the chicken with salt, pepper, curry, allspice, garlic, chili, egg and 2 tablespoons water. When everything is combined, blend in the flour, using your hands. Keep mixing until most of the flour is blended with the other ingredients and the chicken is coated (add more water or flour if mixture is too thin or too dry; it should be dry but not powdery). Let sit while you heat the fat.
2. Choose a skillet or casserole at least 12 inches in diameter that can be covered. Add enough fat to come to a depth of about 1/2 inch and turn heat to medium-high. If you\'re using butter, skim any foam as it rises to the surface.
3. When the fat is hot (a pinch of flour will sizzle) raise heat to high. Slowly add chicken pieces to skillet (if you add them all at once, temperature will plummet). Cover skillet, reduce the heat to medium-high, and cook for 7 minutes.
4. Uncover the skillet, turn the chicken and continue to cook, uncovered, for another 7 minutes. Turn the chicken again and cook for about 5 minutes more, turning as necessary to ensure that both sides are golden brown.
5. Remove the chicken from skillet and drain on paper towels. Serve chicken at any temperature, with lemon or lime wedges.
